Training Buddy Writing An extension of the successful Buddy Reading project, Buddy Writing aims to improve the writing skills of the children involved, and also give the older buddies an insight into children's writing skills and experience of working with children. This scheme has been developed for ROWA! and has been used successfully in secondary schools working with their feeder primaries over the last 3 years. There is also a shorter programme for primary schools to use. ROWA! can arrange Buddy Writing training sessions for your older students in all age ranges eg Y2 working with Foundation, Yr6 working with Yr2, or Yr12 students working with primary students. Buddy Writing can also be used to train adults in your school, eg lunchtime supervisors and classroom volunteers. 2 x 90 minute sessions for up to 30 buddies - £500 + expenses.
