Projects - Family Learning
Moving On Up
A new 10 week programme for parents of children in transition from primary to secondary school.

The aims of the programme are:
- To introduce and raise awareness of various topics affecting the transition from Year 6 to Year 7.
- To increase parents' confidence and empower them to support their children's learning.
- To introduce parents to key members of staff, in an informal setting, and raise awareness of their role in school in relation to the child.
- To make parents aware of the information and support provided by the school and encourage them to work in partnership to support the child to reach his/her potential.
- To introduce parents to the range of technologies used by children and schools, including on-line reporting on their child's wellbeing and performance.
- To provide opportunities for parents to identify their own learning needs and to provide progression routes.
