Family Learning

The ROWA! Family Learning Team provide a wide range of programmes delivered by experienced, fully qualified pre and post 16 teachers.

The Family Learning Team provide a menu of provision designed to promote the advantages and impact of intergenerational family learning. Working in partnership with schools, libraries, Children's Centres, voluntary and community groups to deliver high quality, innovative family learning initiatives to:

  • Ensure that support is given to promoting healthy, safe, achieving families who can make a positive contribution and work towards economic well-being.
  • Encourage and empower parents and carers to support their children's learning at home.
  • Encourage and support adults to address their own learning needs.
  • Offer information on learning and teaching methods and strategies used in early years, primary and secondary schools.
  • Work within the community to develop and maintain a lifelong love of books and reading.
