Nail Art and Literacy CD-rom

Nail Art and Literacy has been developed from our very successful experience of delivering learning to hard-to reach learners in deprived wards in Derbyshire. It has proved to be a great success because it offers the opportunity to improve literacy as well as have fun, do something creative and enjoy learning a new skill. It is a non-threatening way to deliver in a voluntary and community setting, work with SureStart parents, offer out-of-hours learning in Extended Schools or e2e. These are just a few examples; I'm sure you can think of many more.

Nail Art and Literacy is designed to make it easy for the tutor. The CD-rom contains everything you need to deliver the OCN in Nail Art and support learners to take the national test level 1 in literacy.

The course is designed to be delivered by a literacy tutor supported by a Nail Art professional. Alternatively, a literacy tutor can deliver this course if they have an interest in Nail Art. In either case, you will find all the resources you will need.

Week by week you will find easy to follow lesson plans, resources, handouts, tutor notes and photographs to deliver this 16 week course over 2 hours per week. The first 11 weeks are to help your learners complete their portfolios for the OCN accreditation. Weeks 12-16 are for those learners progressing to the national test.

Use the Nail Art and Literacy CD-rom to help towards improving a learner's confidence and giving them the motivation to progress to further learning.
