Derbyshire Research 2009
The Derbyshire Findings Report is a digest of the quantitative and qualitative research undertaken both county-wide and in the three research areas of Holme Hall (and Brampton), Ripley and Cotmanhay to achieve the first phase aims; to map and audit the provision for identifying, signposting and supporting parents with literacy difficulties in Derbyshire and to identify the parental perspective on literacy and learning.
The aims of the first phase of the project, Family Reading Matters, were:
- to map the ways in which literacy support is available to families and the take up of these services;
- to improve partnership working of agencies who either support literacy or work with families to improve the development of reading;
- to find out how families, particularly the most disadvantaged, respond to this pilot;
- to embed support for family reading as a strategic approach in the Derbyshire Partnership.
