Who we are

Our Aims

Key Targets 2007/08

  • To refocus the work of ROWA! in line with its aims and principles in order to continue to benefit the people of Derbyshire and Derby.
  • To work within the top 30% most socio-economically disadvantaged wards in Derbyshire and Derby City pioneering innovative approaches that remove barriers to learning.
  • To ensure 200 adults and young people (14-19) gain a nationally recognised qualification through ROWA! activity.
  • To ensure that 1185 adults and young people (14-19) engage in accredited or non-accredited first steps learning.
  • To ensure that 194 adults and young people (14-19) progress into mainstream provision, further learning, work or voluntary activity.
  • To engage with 80 children and young people (0-14) in ROWA! activities which promote literacy.
  • To recruit and support 119 volunteers.
  • To ensure Derbyshire remains a place where people want to learn by working innovatively with 70 other organisations and schools.
  • To continue to uphold the principles of Investors in People and Investing in Volunteers by investing in the skills of the staff and volunteers of ROWA!
